David McKinley

Greetings, My name is David McKinley. I am a member of Cross and Crown Church, where I serve as one of the associate pastors, and have been a member for nearly 10 years.

I began my Christian walk around 20 years ago at my former church, El Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, Mobile, AL, under the leadership of Pastor Jonathan Yates. It was there that I gave my heart and life to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. While there, I served on the usher board for about five years. That experience is still a great part of me to this day. While serving as an usher, I began teaching the Men’s Sunday School class.

I left El Bethel once I received a greater understanding of the cross of Christ,- being not just for salvation, but also for our sanctification also. That is when I became a member of Cross and Crown, where we preach Christ and the crucifixion. I’ve spent nearly five years as the youth pastor, which is still my heart, along with assisting with teaching Sunday school.

In closing, my main desire is to see the lost come to the cross of Christ for salvation and for the children of God to come to the cross of Christ for sanctification..

1 Corinthians 1:23 but we preach Christ crucified.
